WHAT IS IT? HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Childcare Connect Program provides substitute teacher services for licensed childcare providers in Pinellas County.

The Childcare Connect Substitute pool is maintained by the PEEUA for members to access as needed

Childcare Connect works with substitute teachers to:

• complete the fingerprint process

• conduct background screenings for the state and out of state

• confirm and document training credentials and educational diplomas/degrees online to send to providers as needed

• determine their level of pay to note on the substitute list: pay can be negotiated between subs and providers also

• Create a substitute profile with photo, education, training credentials, minimum pay desired, age group preferences, hours of availability, location preferences
