The PEEUA presents the first annual Black Tie Gala 2022
An event to honor the work of early educators in Pinellas County
APRIL 9th 2022
Enjoy an upscale evening of dinner, dancing, and engaging awards ceremony honoring some of the most prominent business through the county! Hosted in the immaculate main ballroom of the Garden Club of St. Petersburg, Inc. the ambiance of the venue, paired with a chef prepared dinner, and the presence of like minded business individuals will bring about a night of pure excellence.
The Black Tie Gala 2021 was founded with prominent businesses in mind. For this reason we have created a process that will allow us to recognize attendees who align with our vision for the event. It was created and curated to appeal to individuals in business ranging from entrepreneurs, executives, teachers, tax preparers, child care center and home owners, and many other business arenas, who are interested in celebrating, honoring, and engaging with one another in a professional, yet elegant and luxurious setting.
This will surely be a night to remember; a time to celebrate one another, our efforts and successes in these recent times, and to lift one another up to carry on with the work that continues to lie ahead for all of us. Early educators work tirelessly every day to educate and nurture our community's young children - but this night is for US! Join us as a fellow early childhood educator to be honored and celebrate, as an advocate, sponsor, supporter or friend! Tickets will go fast to purchase yours today!

11th Annual Baby Talk Event - March 2021
Each year the Concerned Organization for Quality Education of Black Students (COQEBS) School Readiness Committee hosts and sponsors a community event for families to connect with one another and their babies and toddlers. It is a days- long event of training seminars for professionals, family activities and learning opportunities, and community connections.
This year the PEEUA contributed by hosting a Saturday event for child care providers and families at Hope Academy Preschool in Clearwater (see link below for this amazing early learning center) . The event was a GIVEAWAY of new and gently used educational materials and toys for children under five. Early Educators could donate items and pick up new items to them and familes were invited to get new items and enjoy music - freebies - snacks - and resources! This inaugural event was also supported by the other agencies including the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas, the Pinellas County License Board, Healthy Start and Hope Academy. Our First Annual Holiday Gathering - December 2020
2020 was a stressful year for everyone, but early educators put their lives and health and that of their families at risk to serve children whose parents were first responders or in great need. They worked tirelessly all year to keep their doors open; some had to close down temporarily and many lost substantial income that impacted their lives greatly but still they persevered! In addition to all of these efforts they worked together to form the PEEUA and to advocate for their profession to access funds, and be considered for support from state and local government to keep them stable during the pandemic. At the end of the year they took the opportunity to connect with one another at a safe outdoor holiday event at Freedom Lake Park in Pinellas Point (a halfway point for the county) to celebrate their accomplishments and one another! Check out the first of hopefully many holiday gatherings to come below!
Great Mask Giveaway of 2020
While 2020 turned our world upside down, it also gave good people numerous chances to help one another and one example of that was the great mask giveaway of 2020! Thanks to the efforts and kindness of excellent people at the Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg we were gifted with high quality cloth masks to distribute throughout the county to needy early educators who remained open to serve families in need of care. Check out our meet ups to distribute the masks below and the link to the Foundation here for more information on the wonderful things they continue to do for the community:

This was an extremely fun event and very helpful for local women leaders in the business of early education for building their profiles. ! We hope to do another one this Fall!
